- A photo ID - driver’s license, passport, state or government identification card, WildCard, etc.
- linkblue username - this can be found on your acceptance letter – format: abcd123.
- linkblue account password - you establish this when you set up your linkblue account and UKY email; if you have not set up your account, follow these step-by-step instructions.
- The student must be present to pick up the iPad - parent/guardian/family/designee are not eligible to pick up an iPad for their student.

When do I get my iPad Kit?
Pre-Registration will open on Monday, August 5, 2025.
After pre-registering, you will receive a QR code that you must bring with you on pick-up day.
You can pickup your iPad from Tuesday, August 19 – Thursday, August 21 from 8 am - 11 am at the Cornerstone Building
What do I need to pre-register for my iPad Kit?
You will need your linkblue ID and password to pre-register for your iPad kit. After pre-registering, you will receive a QR code you will need to bring when picking up your iPad kit.

Where is The Cornerstone Building?
The Cornerstone is located at 401 S. Limestone, on the corner of S. Limestone and Avenue of Champions, next to the Cornerstone Garage, in Lexington, KY 40508.
What device will be distributed this year to incoming, first-year degree seeking students?
We have selected the 11.0" Space Gray iPad Air with 128GB of storage for incoming, first-year degree-seeking students. The accessories included with your iPad Air are the Apple Pencil Pro and the Logitech Folio Touch Case.
Note: Smart Campus does not provide additional accessories such as an iPad case, screen protector, or Apple Pencil holder. Students will need to supply extra accessories.
*Upgrades are not allowed if you already received an iPad through the Smart Campus Initiative.
What if I am not able to make the iPad distribution events?
If you are unable to attend the Technology Takeover events on Tuesday, August 19 – Thursday, August 21, you can pick up your iPad at our Tech locations (The Gatton Student Center and the basement of the William T. Young Library).
