iPad Initiative Speaker Series Making Learning Visible with iPads in Times of Remote Instruction
Join Trey Conatser and Jill Abney, from UK’s Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), for this virtual installment of the iPad Initiative Speaker Series. This session will examine opportunities for active learning with iPads using visual strategies (drawing, image sharing, and annotation) that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and engagement with Google Slides, OneNote, Keynote and Canvas. Trey and Jill will demonstrate ways of using these apps for both in-person and remote course delivery, as well as for courses with an array of devices.
As CELT’s Associate Director and Assistant Director for Presentation U, Trey and Jill have coordinated programming in collaboration with the Smart Campus Initiative to support innovative teaching and learning with iPads and other digital devices. This January, CELT launched the inaugural Teaching Innovation Institute with its first cohort focusing on iPad-based digital pedagogies.
